Garbanzos al Curry con Arroz Integral / Curried Chickpeas with Brown Rice

ENGLISH version bellow

Hola!!

Vamos a ello!

Hi!!

Lately, I´m obsessed with chickpeas.

The other day, I discovered a recipe while I was playing in the kitchen, and it´s so easy!! It is a curried chickpeas with brown rice recipe.

Curried chickpeas with brown rice (3-4 servings)
  • 350 gr pureed tomato
  • 1 small green bell pepper
  • 1 small yellow bell pepper
  • 1 small red bell pepper
  • 2 carrots
  • Chive
  • Spices: Curry, curcuma, ground black pepper, powdered garlic, parsley (I don´t specify quantities cause I think that spices must be added to each person´s taste).
  • Brown rice, cooked

Recipe

Wash, chop and sauté the vegetables over medium heat. When they are “al dente”, add the tomato and the spices, and reduce heat to low (at this time you can also add a bit of brown sugar in order to correct the acidity of the tomato).

Let the pan on low heat until the tomato sauce wins consistency.

Finally, add the cooked chickpeas, let them on low heat for a few minutes and finished!

Serve on a plate the brown rice and spread the curried chickpeas on it. This is amazing!
